ASTON CITY SPRINGS
RJTR provided architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, interior design and FF&E services for the private residential and retail components of the new Sandy Springs City Center for Carter Development and the City of Sandy Springs. The residential project consists of 276 one-story apartments and 18 two-story townhouses in two buildings along the western portion of the City Center site. The north building is approximately 215,000 gsf with up to five stories of apartments over a partial retail podium. The streetlevel eastern portion houses 16,000 gsf of retail space that makes up the western part of the Market Square area of the City Center. The south building is a four and five story building with 150,000 gsf of apartments and townhomes wrapped around a precast parking deck. Project amenities include an 18,000 sf landscaped courtyard with saltwater pool, covered pavilion with fireplace, and outdoor kitchens. Indoor amenities include a clubroom, fitness center, and dog wash station. The south building lobby acts as a gallery displaying 2d and 3d artwork from local artists with a private terrace that has lounge seating and a fire table for residents.
