Phase 1 accommodates 507 cars on 3 levels of two connected structures. The project is designed for 3 levels of vertical expansion in Phase 2. The deck sits on the site of former surface parking. Phase 1 accommodates self-parking and valet parking, pay gates, and an underground water storage tank. Splitting the deck into 2 structures with pedestrian and vehicular bridges, allows for the tank to be built post construction and also maintains some visual connection between Clairmont Road and the Medical Center. Entry and exit points and overall circulation are positioned to facilitate the existing pick-up and drop-off lanes, valet operations and self-parkers.
